Net Asset Value
Overview
The net asset value (NAV) per share of an investment trust or fund in U.S. dollars. The metric name is prefixed by the ticker symbol of the investment product (e.g. gbtc_net_asset_value for Grayscale's Bitcoin Investment Trust). NAV per share represents the fair value of the underlying assets held by the product divided by the number of shares outstanding.

Net asset value per share is calculated daily at 4 PM ET, based on reference price data from CoinDesk or equivalent pricing sources as specified in each product's governing documents. For NAV per share and AUM calculated in accordance with US GAAP methodology, see Grayscale's GAAP page.
